Battlestar Galactica Blaster Prop Replica

Check out this rare prop replica of the Battlestar Galactica season one standard-issue Colonial sidearm that’s gone up for auction on Ebay.

That’s the Syfy series and not the original 1970’s/80’s BSG.

From the seller:

This Season 1 GALACTICA BLASTER is a highly-detailed, expertly-crafted prop replica. It is brand new, straight from the shop, and has not been displayed or previously owned. This is not a typical solid prop. It is cast in several separate components, which allow an unmatched level of detail. The body of the blaster is a two-part clamshell which bolts over a solid resin replica revolver (exactly as it was done for the show). The use of aluminum-filled resin allows for extremely realistic weathering. The grip panels are separate and bolt on just like the originals. The woodgrain on the grips is cast into the resin for a durable and authentic appearance. The side switches are cast metal for added durability. The piece is cast in aluminum-filled urethane resin. This prop is not based on an Airsoft and has NO MOVING PARTS.  The entire unit weighs just under a pound.

Take a look at an image of the weapon as seen in the actual Syfy series:

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Season 1 Blaster

If you think this looks similar to the Blade Runner blaster you’d be right. The standard-issue Colonial sidearm was based on the Blade Runner blaster. You can learn more about the weapon on the BSG Wiki and on the IMFDB.

The auction is currently up to $175 and only has one day to go.

Head to Ebay if you want a shot at owning this for yourself.

Rare STAR TREK NEXT GENERATION Type-2 Laser Pointer Prop Replica IPI Toys

Image is of the actual prop replica for sale

In 1996 American toy company IPI Toys produced a limited edition run of officially licensed Star Trek: The Next Generation Type-2 Phaser laser pointers.

I believe this were limited to 10,000 (but I”m not 100% sure on that).

They came in a beautiful red velvet lined box together with a Certificate of Authenticity and instructions on how to use the laser pointer.

The pointer itself can be fired with or without a sound effect.

Today your chances of getting one of these is fairly remote. You have to wait until an existing owner puts one up for sale.

Fortunately that’s what this post is about because that’s what has just happened.

A seller has put one of these numbered #1018 up for auction on Ebay.

The starting bid is $300 but I’m sure it’ll go for much more than that – these are seriously rare and highly sought after ST:TNG collector’s items.

Screen Used DEEP SPACE NINE & STAR TREK NEXT GENERATION Phaser Rifle

Here’s an actual, screen used prop that any Star Trek fan will salivate over.

This weapon was used on set in Star Trek: The Next Generation during the Borg episode ‘Descent Part 1′. It was also used in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

The current owner, who is selling it, says:

I bought it from Next Gen’s Property Master on one of my set visits. It was the day they filmed inside the Borg “hall” for the 6th season’s cliffhangar “Decent part 1″. I saw this being used right in front of me, and when I went to lunch with the P.M. we worked out the deal and when I left that day, I left with the prop.

Features:

  • Made of hard rubber
  • Has a green tinted plastic screen for the flip up sight (sight appears to be glued in place and does not flip up).
  • Has 2 holes drilled in top (used to attach a sling which does not come with the prop)
  • Has a working “trigger” button
  • Comes with a Letter of Authenticity (LOA) detailing the history of the prop (including its appearance on DS9)

In terms of condition this one is good except for numerous paint cracks and chips. The paint is enamel and has cracked and chipped over time. Still, you could also restore it fully to look like its former on-set glory!

The seller has put it up for sale as he needs the cash, so this is one of those lucky breaks for a Star Trek collector or movie prop collector.

Price is $2,800 but the seller will entertain an offer – so if you want it, head to the link below to make one.

V-TV-Series-1983-Visitor-Stunt-Pistol

This is a stunt Visitor pistol from the original 1983 science fiction television mini-series V.

This original pistol was created for the production and would have been used for scenes when the gun was not to be fired.

The stunt pistol is made of dense foam, and has been crafted to represent a futuristic, alien technology.

The barrel and the grip have the look of a modern pistol, however, in the middle is a section that comes out of the hand grip and connects to the barrel, forming a square shape, giving the pistol a second handle.

Running through the barrel is a clear, plastic rod, used for support, which is partially exposed in the middle. In the hero versions for the show, this exposed piece lit up when shot.

Due to production use and age, the back of the gun barrel has become slightly bent (see photos) and the trigger guard has become partially detached, leaving the piece in overall fair condition.

The item measures approximately 12″ x 6″ (31cm x 15cm).

This item comes with a Prop Store Certificate of Authenticity.

STAR TREK Tek Classic Phaser Diamond Select

In addition to the Gold Handle Type 2 Classic Phaser and the White Handle Type 2 Classic Phaser from the original series of Star Trek, Diamond Select have also produced TOS Black Handle Classic Phaser.

This is the original Star Trek 2-in-1 classic phaser design that includes a detachable Type-1 mini-hand phaser (pictured detached in the above image).

Released by Diamond Select under an official Star Trek license.

For maximum authenticity it’s a full-scale reproduction modeled after the initial Star Trek prop.

Features realistic beam lights, sound effects, and adjustable power settings.

To activate the sound, you must remove the plastic display tab and turn on the hand phaser. (This is done by clicking the far right dial forward toward the front of the pistol.) To trigger the lights, rotate the front dial forward.

You don’t see many of these go up for sale. It’s a pity that there’s a slight chip on the base and that the unit has some scratches.

Nevertheless, this is a RARE Franklin Mint Limited Edition STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE Nine Cardassian Disruptor that is severely hard to find.

It’s a definite collector’s item with or without the scratches, but especially so for an avid collector with the ability to touch up the damage you can see it has in the image.

This was produced by Franklin Mint. I believe when they were originally released they came with a Certificate of Authenticity. I would drop a message to the seller to see if they still have that (although it is also obvious from the image that this is an authentic version).

This is a Limited Edition, 30th Anniversary model of the Cardassian sidearm that was produced in 1998. It is displayed in a clear lucite display attached to a black base.

Note that this item was previously listed with a price of $200. It’s now listed with a significantly reduced bid price of $49.95.

You can get it at the link below:

If you’re looking to get all of the STAR TREK Phaser and Disruptor’s released by Franklin Mint there’s a private sale for an entire collection going on for $700. It’s not on Ebay, it’s via Toronto classifieds site Kijiji. But if you want to check it out, here’s the link you need:

Looking for a prop replica of the Star Trek Original Series Phaser? Then don’t look past this.

In terms of price, Art Asylum’s Star Trek Original Series Phaser Prop Replica (pictured above) is definitely now at the top of the list for best value for money Original Series phasers around. That’s because Amazon has knocked a whopping 37% off what they’ve got in stock! Once $199, you can get it right now for only $124.99. That’s an absolute bargain that I’ve been unable to find matched anywhere else and well worth it when you consider the fact that this particular phaser has long been out of production.

How accurate is this? Well, there’s usually a bit of a debate when it comes to the accuracy of Star Trek phaser prop replicas. Often there’s confusion between what is ‘screen accurate’ and what is ‘set accurate’. As in, what did it look like on set versus what did the phaser look like on screen.

In the case of Art Asylum’s phaser, there’s no debate that it is definitely set accurate since this exact prop replica was used as a prop in the Enterprise Season 4 Episode 18: In a Mirror Darkly.

Of course, there is also Buy It Now listing on Ebay for one of these at $109. The seller claims it is new and unopened, however no images have been uploaded. Still, if it’s legit, you may want to check it out by giving the Seller a message.

If you’re keen to lay your hands on a STAR TREK VI Klingon Beak Nose Disruptor you’ve probably found it pretty hard to do. Roddenberry’s Klingon Beak Nose Disruptor is now sold out from most sources, though Secret Compass Collectibles still have one in stock (as at the timing of this post) for a price of $279.95 (not bad, considering the original price was $299).

But if a little less expenditure is your thing, say in the area of $50 or so, you might want to check out Diamond Select’s new Klingon Beak Nose Disruptor.

Sure, it’s not a hand painted resin prop replica like Roddenberry’s version, but it is still pretty cool looking. It’s also 1:1 scale and designed for role play which, to be fair, you wouldn’t want to do with Roddenberry’s Disruptor. It also has electronic sounds and lights to go with the role play experience.

You can pre-order these right now.

The best price I’ve found is via Entertainment Earth, with Amazon having them listed only slightly dearer. The links you need are below:

Babylon 5 and TV Series gun replica collectors get your wallet out now. On Ebay there’s an auction going for a Babylon 5 Earthforce Phased Plasma Gun (PPG) prop replica, and these beauties are rare indeed.

I previously posted about the Babylon5 PPG prop replica here, and when I did I had no link to an item for sale. This is such a difficult item to find that my only previous post about it was for information purposes only.

Now, there’s one up for auction on Ebay. This is an opportunity not to be missed.

From the auction page:

I am selling a fabulous replica of the Phased Plasma Gun used in the series Babylon 5.  It is comprised of machined aluminum, real pachmeyer grips, and functional electronics (single bright red LED in the barrel). The prop comes with a real Uncle Mike’s holster, sized perfectly to hold the gun, and a spare ammo cap (not pictured).

This is an all-metal hero prop from Babylon 5 that features a removable energy cap.

If you want it you’re going to have be quick – the auction ends in just 1 day from now. Here’s the link you need:
