Battlestar Galactica Blaster Prop Replica

Check out this rare prop replica of the Battlestar Galactica season one standard-issue Colonial sidearm that’s gone up for auction on Ebay.

That’s the Syfy series and not the original 1970’s/80’s BSG.

From the seller:

This Season 1 GALACTICA BLASTER is a highly-detailed, expertly-crafted prop replica. It is brand new, straight from the shop, and has not been displayed or previously owned. This is not a typical solid prop. It is cast in several separate components, which allow an unmatched level of detail. The body of the blaster is a two-part clamshell which bolts over a solid resin replica revolver (exactly as it was done for the show). The use of aluminum-filled resin allows for extremely realistic weathering. The grip panels are separate and bolt on just like the originals. The woodgrain on the grips is cast into the resin for a durable and authentic appearance. The side switches are cast metal for added durability. The piece is cast in aluminum-filled urethane resin. This prop is not based on an Airsoft and has NO MOVING PARTS.  The entire unit weighs just under a pound.

Take a look at an image of the weapon as seen in the actual Syfy series:

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Season 1 Blaster

If you think this looks similar to the Blade Runner blaster you’d be right. The standard-issue Colonial sidearm was based on the Blade Runner blaster. You can learn more about the weapon on the BSG Wiki and on the IMFDB.

The auction is currently up to $175 and only has one day to go.

Head to Ebay if you want a shot at owning this for yourself.

Limited Edition SPACE 1999 Commlock and Stun Gun Prop Replica Set

Here’s a rare chance to snap up a limited edition Space 1999: Commlock & Stun Gun Prop Replica Set.

This weapon replica was released in 2007 by Iconic Replicas (formerly Product Enterprise) as a limited edition item of only 1000 in the world.

It is based on the weapon used by Gerry Anderson in the 1999 UK series Space: 1999.

The one pictured in the image above is number 499 and it’s NOT the one for sale! I’ll let the seller explain why we don’t have an actual image of the one for sale (and it’s a good reason):

When this was released, I purchased two sets. One I opened for display and the other I kept unopened in the original boxes (double-boxed for safety of shipping). I am selling the unopened set, but including photos of my opened props so that you can see what they look like.

The seller adds that it “is absolutely new, in the original box, and has never been opened.”

So its a rare find indeed.

Features:

  • Released in 2007 by Iconic Replicas in the UK
  • Consists of full sized replicas of the Commlock and Stun Gun props
  • Replicas are based on the “Year Two” version of the props from the show.
  • Includes a nice acrylic display case with etched brass plaque.

If you want it you’ll need to bid on it as it has been put up for auction. The link you need is below:

Rare STAR TREK NEXT GENERATION Type-2 Laser Pointer Prop Replica IPI Toys

Image is of the actual prop replica for sale

In 1996 American toy company IPI Toys produced a limited edition run of officially licensed Star Trek: The Next Generation Type-2 Phaser laser pointers.

I believe this were limited to 10,000 (but I”m not 100% sure on that).

They came in a beautiful red velvet lined box together with a Certificate of Authenticity and instructions on how to use the laser pointer.

The pointer itself can be fired with or without a sound effect.

Today your chances of getting one of these is fairly remote. You have to wait until an existing owner puts one up for sale.

Fortunately that’s what this post is about because that’s what has just happened.

A seller has put one of these numbered #1018 up for auction on Ebay.

The starting bid is $300 but I’m sure it’ll go for much more than that – these are seriously rare and highly sought after ST:TNG collector’s items.

If you want to snap this up by bidding on it the link to check it out is below:

Screen Used DEEP SPACE NINE & STAR TREK NEXT GENERATION Phaser Rifle

Here’s an actual, screen used prop that any Star Trek fan will salivate over.

This weapon was used on set in Star Trek: The Next Generation during the Borg episode ‘Descent Part 1′. It was also used in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

The current owner, who is selling it, says:

I bought it from Next Gen’s Property Master on one of my set visits. It was the day they filmed inside the Borg “hall” for the 6th season’s cliffhangar “Decent part 1″. I saw this being used right in front of me, and when I went to lunch with the P.M. we worked out the deal and when I left that day, I left with the prop.

Features:

  • Made of hard rubber
  • Has a green tinted plastic screen for the flip up sight (sight appears to be glued in place and does not flip up).
  • Has 2 holes drilled in top (used to attach a sling which does not come with the prop)
  • Has a working “trigger” button
  • Comes with a Letter of Authenticity (LOA) detailing the history of the prop (including its appearance on DS9)

In terms of condition this one is good except for numerous paint cracks and chips. The paint is enamel and has cracked and chipped over time. Still, you could also restore it fully to look like its former on-set glory!

The seller has put it up for sale as he needs the cash, so this is one of those lucky breaks for a Star Trek collector or movie prop collector.

Price is $2,800 but the seller will entertain an offer – so if you want it, head to the link below to make one.

Warehouse 13 Tesla Prop Steampunk Raygun

On one hand I hate Warehouse 13 as I think its popularity was probably the reason Eureka got cancelled. On the other hand I love it for all the nods it hands out to the late but great Nikola Tesla.

One of those nods is the aptly named Tesla gun – an electrically based steampunk style raygun used by Warehouse 13 agents (because bullets are so yesterday). That and it has the bonus side effect of erasing your short-term memory.

If you want a Tesla gun you can always opt for the kit version. But if you want it already fully assembled and, for that matter, if you want the best replica of this gun there is, then there’s no question that the limited edition Tesla Artisan Hero Prop is your huckleberry.

It’s a limited edition of only 500 pieces worldwide and it’s pure awesome.

Features:

  • Hand-built from more than 70 parts
  • Screen-accurate to the original TV prop (most parts digitally modeled from the original prop by Kenney’s Custom Props whose credits include weapon props for shows like Battlestar Galactica and Fringe)
  • Precise modeling based on laser scans and computer-aided design
  • Custom handmade acrylic cylinders for the vacuum tubes
  • A baked-on black chrome finish that creates a mirror effect on the end caps of the vacuum tubes
  • Custom-coiled springs and hand-coiled copper tubing
  • Custom-cast Bakelite knob
  • Comes with a hand-rubbed zebrawood base and graceful brass pedestal
  • Carefully wrapped in canvas and packed in a handmade wooden crate

If you want it you’ll have to hurry. These are not easy to find and will set your bank account back a little when you do find one, but right now if you want one you’re in luck via the link below (while it lasts):

THE WALKING DEAD Michonne Katana Prop Replica Master Cutlery

Okay, now this is one sweet Katana sword prop replica.

It’s a Master Cutlery manufactured limited edition high-carbon steel replica of Michonne’s katana from AMC’s The Walking Dead.

I was hoping they’d release a prop replica of Michonne’s zombie chopping sword and they have – or at least they will. It’s due for release later this year (September 2013).

This is a limited edition replica of only 2,000 pieces.

Measures 42-inches long with a 27-inch long blade. Also features a genuine leather handle wraap.

Check out a shot of actress Danai Gurira as Michonne holding her katan in the hit show:

If you want one it’ll set you back $199.99 which is a pretty decent price for what I’m sure will be a highly prized limited edition collector’s piece.

You can pre-order now from Entertainment Earth and via Ebay. There are other sellers on Ebay offering it at a higher price than $199.99. You can check out all the listings here.
